In Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, I learned about the author, Amy Chua, and her ways of parenting her children. I learned that she never let them go to parties or play any instrument except the violin or piano :( The picture I find most captivating is the professional picture of her family because everybody seemed so happy with their 2 fluffy dogs. If this book were written 10 years earlier, the kids wouldn't have been born yet so Amy would most likely have less experience in parenting and wouldn't have methods established.
